Pre-registration starts at Formentera's school of music and dance

With September under way, the education and culture bureaus of the Formentera Council report that the first stage of enrolment to the island's school of music and dance for the 2018-2019 school year has begun. Students have until Tuesday September 11 to process their preinscripció—whether in person at the OAC (Citizen's Information Office) or online on the OVAC. The “pre-enrolment” process is necessary for returning and first-time students alike, and must be completed before they begin studies this year.

September enrolment for returning students
Enrolment for students will take place September 12-14 in person at the OAC or on the OVAC, online.

September enrolment for new students
Students not enrolled during the previous academic calendar must complete enrolment in person September 18 at the Escola de Música i Dansa.

To register, students will need the following documents:
Two passport photos.
National ID (DNI) number of student and parents.
Photocopy of llibre de familía, if multi-child family.
Photocopy of pay stub, if either parent is employed by the Council.
Bank account number or IBAN of account to be debited by direct deposit.

Escola de Música i Dansa course catalogue
The Escola de Música i Dansa offers accredited instruction in music and dance at the elementary (Ensenyaments Elementals) and professional levels (Ensenyaments Professionals), letting students choose between traverse flute, guitar and piano. Instruction can be accreditation-track (reglat or oficial) or non-accreditation-track (no reglat). Beginners' courses are offered for children aged six to seven, while workshops in traditional music are available as well, not to mention professional instruction to all ages and in all specialties. The Escola de Música i Dansa is constantly expanding and improving the educational opportunities the school makes available.
