The Office of Commerce of the Consell de Formentera is pleased to report that local designers Eva Cardona and Majoral have taken part in the first Bridal Fashion Week this week at the Torre del Mar hotel on Eivissa.

Ana Juan, president and commerce councillor, traced participation at the event to "collaboration on the part of our local government and designers", and described Bridal Fashion Week as "the perfect chance to showcase Formentera-made fashion".

Eva Cardona presented an exclusive collection of wedding dresses were true to the elegant, minimalist and, at the same time, glamorous style that the designer honed on Formentera.

For their part, Majoral presented necklaces, bracelets and silver crowns with paint in various colours, with plant motifs, evoking the seventies and the hippy spirit.

Bridal Fashion Week also paid tribute to Amalia Mora, who was one of the great exponents of fashion in the Pine Islands.
