Formentera drivers must verify or obtain accreditation before formentera.eco rollout on Thursday 24 June

The Formentera Department of Mobility reports that from Thursday 24 June until 7 September anyone operating a vehicle, car or motorbike on the island must have the appropriate authorisation to do so, including residents of Formentera.

The process is free for Formentera residents and need only be done once a year; all it takes is a few simple steps on the formentera.eco website. Five thousand resident vehicles currently authorised for free parking in metred “blue zone, green zone” areas of the island have already received clearance on the website.

Mobility chief Rafael González encouraged islanders to connect to formentera.eco: “Individuals who haven’t signed up for blue zone parking can do so, and those who have already signed up can make sure their authorisation to drive has been issued”.

Verifying authorisation
Visitors to formentera.eco can verify their authorisation to drive on the island by clicking on “Already processed your authorisation? Check if your authorisation to enter, drive and park is valid” and entering their vehicle number plate.

Residents must register the number plates of all vehicles, cars and motorbikes on www.formentera.eco.
