Victoria Abril and Lola Dueñas, special guests at Formentera Film Festival

For the third year the Formentera Film Festival returns and brings with it the magic of cinema to the heart of the island. The Sant Francesc plaza will host projections of the competing short films, along with many more activities where the festival's godmother – Lola Dueñas – will be present. Dueñas visited the island for the festival's first edition and this year will be accompanied by the famed Spanish actress Victòria Abril.

Thanks to the drive and initiative of the FormenteraArt collective, this will be the third time that our island is transformed into an open-air cinema, thus increasing the cultural offering not just for island residents but for those occasional visitors to Formentera as well.

Formentera Film is synonymous with guaranteed quality tourism and culture, and its features adapt perfectly to our island. Thanks to this initiative, an island as small as Formentera has front-row seats to a great number of cinematographic creations hailing from all across the globe.

Year after year, the Formentera Island Council supports projects whose goal it is to promote art and culture, with events like the Formentera Film Festival.
