The Interpretation Centre of ses Salines has a favorable report from Xarxa Natura 2000

Ses Salines de FormenteraThe Interpretation Centre of ses Salines has a favorable report from Xarxa Natura 2000 from 13 September.
Final approval for this project is expected with a view to September/October at the next regular session of the Balear Commission for Environment.
In the island media, particularly in the late edition of Sunday 12 September and yesterday's Diario de Ibiza Sept. 14, it is stated that the project of the future Centre of ses Salines Interpretation of the island of Formentera, has been rejected by the Balearic Environment Committee (CBMA), the agency responsible for environmental permits awarded in our region.
From the area of Environment of the Consell Insular of Formentera, we categorically deny these allegations and we want to clarify the exact situation in this construction project is, which on Monday September 13 was approved by the subcommittee of the  Xarxa Natura 2000, which had a special meeting and provides final approval at the next plenary session of the CBMA in September or October.
To make a time reference, the Consell of Formentera presented a blueprint to build an interpretive center of the salt known as "Casa de sa Roda" in the field of Ses Salines Natural Park to the Balearic Committee on Environment date March 19, 2010. This draft did not have any opinion, as the report of the Natura 2000 Network technicians expressed the need to make corrections and modifications to the baseline with respect particularly to equipment and future parking areas downtown and they were not yet no report was available by the Natural Park Management.
This basic design underwent a process of prior consultation and passed the first filter from which were incorporated into the improvements and/or appropriate changes required by the Commission Balear, with the aim of the projects in question could ultimately be presented as construction or installation projects licensed and with all supporting documentation required to obtain licenses to the environment.
The publication of the Official Gazette of the Balearic Islands on 11 September, only refers to the contents of the initial report prepared by experts from Xarxa Natura 2000 on the baseline, but in no case means that the project is at risk because after the meeting of the CBMA the March 19 meetings were held between experts from the Directorate General of Biodiversity, Technical Department of the Environment of the CIF and the architect author, Marc Tur, to present the current construction project with all the changes incorporated.
From here, we understand that there may have been confusion on the part of some media from the information and data published in the BOIB, which lends itself to interpretation that has been done.
Similarly, with regard to news published today in the Diario of Ibiza on the draft management of s'Estany des Peix, from the Environment Department wants to stress that there are no discrepancies between the Directorate General for Biodiversity and the Consell de Formentera but since 2007 we are working together to carry out this bill that already has a favorable report by the Environment Committee of Five.
In addition, the consellera Tur stressed the good dialogue between the two administrations and the Association of s'Estany des Peix users to conduct a draft regulation to improve the conditions.
