Stand requests at Formentera farmers market

Interested parties have until 31 March to solicit vending permits for the farmers market (el mercat pagès in Catalan) held at the Antoni Tur Gabrielet centre. Applications can be processed at the agriculture, stockbreeding and fishing office of the Formentera Council, located in Sant Francesc Xavier.

The market is made up of ten stalls intended for the sale of locally-farmed goods and fish and animal products. As of this last year Gabrielet has counted the Confraria de Pescadors among its participating vendors. Depending on availability, members of the local guild of fishermen sell the freshly-caught and Formentera-native gerret to market crowds.
