A minute of silence for the victims in Santiago

The president of the Formentera Island Council, Jaume Ferrer, representing the institution over which he presides, wishes to express the Council's condolences for the victims and families of the train accident in Santiago de Compostela, which occurred during the night, Wednesday 24 July, and to express the Council's hope for the prompt recovery of all those injured.

As a sign of our heartfelt condolences, all the councilors of the Plenary of the Formentera Council took part in a minute of silence held at the Plaça de la Constitució in a show of Formentera's support and solidarity for the Galician city.
