Formentera's water is now apt for human consumption

desalinitzadora webAqualia, the concession-holder for the management of Formentera's water services, announces that the localities of Sant Francesc, Sant Ferran, Es Pujols, La Savina, Sa Roqueta, Ca Marí, Ses Bardetes, and Es Caló, together with the island's water tanker truck, currently all have access to running water from Formentera's desalinisation plant.

Inspections by the Municipal Water Service and the Govern Balear's General Direction of Public Health confirmed the safe levels of chloride, sodium and boron in the plant's water supply. Shown to uphold the health and safety criteria for water consumption established by Royal Decree 140/2003 [7 February], the water supply in these localities is thus qualified as apt for human consumption without restrictions on use.
