In the coming days the island's municipal tennis courts will be fitted with a new playing surface. The current tennis courts are in a state of disrepair due to extended use.
It is hoped that the new flooring will minimise players' risk of injury and simultaneously effect an improved ball bounce. The change will be a leap forward for all those individuals who use the courts, including members of Club de Tennis Illa de Formentera; students of Formentera's municipal tennis school; and private citizens who pay to use the courts.
The cost of the remodel is 43,000€.
