New winter hours at Marià Villangómez Library

The Formentera Office of Culture announces that from Monday 13 September, new winter hours take effect at the Marià Villangómez Library. During this period, the library will open Monday to Thursday, mornings 9.30am to 1.00pm, and afternoons 4.00pm to 7.30pm. On Fridays it will open from 9.30am to 3.00pm.

During library hours, patrons can check out documents, get information about books and use the library’s print and copy service. Five computers will additionally be made available for consultation, work and study, with a sixth computer exclusively for consultation. Newly increased capacity means that the lounge space, where visitors can study or use a personal computer, can now accommodate up to 18 people. Three reading stations have also been set up.

Patrons who wish to print documents can send them to reprografia@conselldeformentera.cat. Print-outs and copies can be picked up during library hours once confirmation is received from staff that the material is available. Patrons in need of support on technical issues can get it at the computer lab, Monday to Thursday afternoons and Friday mornings.

The children’s area will reopen with a total capacity of eight people: six spots for quiet use of the space, and two for choosing children’s documents and/or DVDs.

The Sant Ferran Library Connection (Punt de Lectura) will be closed until further notice.
