cartell 2021 jornades estudis locals JMC The Formentera Office of Heritage is pleased to report that from 1 to 7 October, the Joan Marí Cardona Local Studies Lecture Series will celebrate its tenth year. Heritage councillor Raquel Guasch, who pointed out that last year’s event was called off due to the pandemic, welcomed the chance to host the series anew, and promised research-minded attendees they were in for a treat: “These talks encompass a wide range of fields and highlight comprehensive and fascinating content that brings us closer to the history of Formentera”.

Guasch said that 2021 has already seen the release of two issues of the review Formentera which spotlight talks from 2015 and 2016, and plans are in place for others still to come, including a special publication with articles from the talks that were called off in 2020.
