The Formentera Office of Island Services has renovated parts of the play area at Plaça de les Illes Pitiüses in La Savina, installed new play equipment in the park next to Escoleta de sa Miranda and performed repairs in Ses Bardetes park.
Paula Ferrer, Councillor of Island Services, asserted improvements were ongoing in the island's play areas, and that "the new play equipment at the Illes Pitiüses park is part of an overall refurbishment that has taken place in the last two years, including adding new and more interactive games for children".
At the Illes Pitiüses park, crews have replaced rubber flooring and installed new playground equipment such as a roofless three-tower structure, two suspension bridges, two slides, two access ladders, a musical panel and a triple seat swing. Work has also been completed on the outer wall. At the park next to the nursery, crews installed a rotating play structure with four climbing ropes that will be available for use in the days ahead.
