Formentera signs agreement with OCB to boost local cultural offer

Today Ana Juan, president of the Consell de Formentera, and Joan Francesc Ferrer, of the local chapter of Obra Cultural Balear, signed a collaboration agreement for culture and heritage in 2023. Vanessa Parellada, culture councillor, was also present at the signing.

The Consell will collaborate financially with up to €10,000 to fund OCB activities to strengthen Formentera's range of cultural offerings in 2023. This year's activities are focused on actions like "Cultural Spring" (Primavera de Cultura), a programme around Sant Jordi celebrations (23 April) that includes presentations of publications, lectures, round tables, poetry readings and more. It will also produce publications to promote culture and Formentera's historical and natural heritage, as well as advisory and research work that may be entrusted to it as a central cultural entity on the island.
