Escola de Música de Formentera stages two choir concerts next week

Thursday 18 May at 7.00pm, Jardí de ses Eres will become the backdrop to a concert by the Medikoak and Au Choeur Des Dames choirs, both from Bayonne, in the Northern Basque Country, and the Polyphonic Choir of Formentera.

Friday 19 May at 6.30pm, the two visiting choirs will also give a performance in the church of Sant Francesc.

Alejandra Ferrer, education councillor, encouraged all of Formentera to enjoy these free concerts, which she framed as "part of the collaboration of the Escola de Música's collaboration with other choirs". She added that next year, the Formentera choir would travel to the French Basque Country––"a testament to these exchanges that enrich our musical culture".
