Saturday 29 April at 12 noon, the School of Music and Dance of Formentera will host its celebration of International Dance Day. The school's roughly 70 dance students between the ages of 3 and 18 will participate, as well as two former students, Lur Silbera and Hugo Zaragoza, who are continuing their careers as dancers in Mallorca.

Alejandra Ferrer, vice president and education councillor, invited islanders to attend a performance where, as she explained, "we will celebrate this day with various music and dances and a demonstration of what students practice at school". There will be classical dance, boleros, folklore, flamenco, modern dance, and music such as Basque fandango, tangos, Bach's "Prelude No. 1" and the score of the film Up.
