Brutus the bear leaves the mountain to play and sing for the children and adults of Sant Ferran
The Office of Culture of the Consell de Formentera is pleased to report that as part of the local activities programme to celebrate Sant Jordi, the PrÃncep Totilau theatre company will perform their production El meu amic Brutus on Formentera.
Brutus is curious, affable and funny, and likes to hug people, smell what they eat and scratch his back against trees and walls. The 2.5m, 400kg brown bear and his nutty, happy-go-lucky family of mountain peasants decide one fine day to leave the cave where they live to see the world and exchange the apples from their orchard for stories and tales. Along the way, they will get all the families they meet to sing, dance and play traditional games.
El meu amic Brutus will be performed on Saturday 22 April at 12 noon in the square of the Church of Sant Ferran. The show lasts 50 minutes and is free of charge.
